The Company

Our client is a liner shipping company who provides liner and feeder operator services to Asia, Middle East, India Subcontinent and Africa.

The Customer Service Executive will be handling customer booking processes and space management with head office and enhance customer satisfaction.  To support and collaborate with team members in attending sales, marketing, and customer relations functions.

The Customer Service Executive will be responsible to:

  • Handle customer inquiries and respond promptly via telephone and email.
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to address inquiries and complaints.
  • Process new and revised booking confirmations and provide sailing schedules to customers.
  • Coordinate and liaise with 3rd party feeder vessels when needed.
  • Arrange urgent shipments (hot box list) to Capacity or T/S port.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and customers in case of cargo rolling.
  • Update and inform customers timely on vessels/operations and transshipment status.
  • Coordinate with sales team for booking forecast, rate agreements, follow ups, and DBR update.
  • Liaise with Capacity for allocation and tonnage.
  • Liaise with overseas agent for any nomination shipment.
  • Update the company’s waybill services daily forecast.
  • Follow up on any shipments experiencing delays with POD and shippers.
  • Update advance payment / monthly cancellations upon HKG request.
  • Monitor shipment statuses and follow up with customers on their booking status in order to rectify shortfalls and cancellations.
  • Handle approvals for export bookings, flexibag shipments, OOG shipments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and promote E-Commerce to customers.
  • Follow up on SOC/COC rates filling, and any billing advancement / storage charges to customers.
  • Assist with monthly schedule updates, DBR updates, and prepare total bookings reports.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher field.
  • Proficient in English and Malay – spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese or local direct are also encouraged.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suites and System Applications.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
