The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manager is a senior position that will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and seamless supply chain operations within the context of equipment integration manufacturing/business. The candidate will be overseeing the complete supply chain, from the procurement of raw materials/components to the final product delivery, while streamlining procedures to maximize cost effectiveness, efficiency and timeliness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the organization’s objectives, focusing on equipment integration business.
- Identify and onboard reliable suppliers, negotiating terms and agreement to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Establish strong relationships with vendors and monitor their performance, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Maintain a supplier performance in deliveries, quality, price and responsiveness.
- Manage procurement processes, ensure timely acquisition of raw materials, components and equipment required for manufacturing.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demands. Ownership of KPIs to meet targets in inventory turn and material clean to build.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Implement best practices, technological solutions, and automation where applicable.
- Identify potential risks in supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
- Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes that could impact the supply chain.
- Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training and mentorship to enhance their skills and performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with more than 10 years of progressively responsible experience supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preferred with working experience in contract manufacturing environment.
- Ideally with 3 – 5 years of people managerial experience.
- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as Oracle, SAP or similar systems.
- Familiar with Rapid Response (RR), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and e-procurement platforms/tools is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
