Reporting to Security and Environmental, Health and Safety Manager and Branch/District Manager. The Supervisor – Security and Environment, Health and Safety will be based in Penang.
The Supervisor – Security and Environmental, Health and Safety will be responsible:
- Serving as key point of contact for Operational Process Standards.
- To further develop the security and environmental, health and safety department in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.
- To review and participate to staff appraisals timely and hold monthly department meetings with team.
- To ensure all staff and position have job descriptions, clear expectations and are working with structured development plans.
- Ensure and assist supervisors and key staff with goal setting and monitoring
- To conduct interviews with potential new personnel.
- Review department goals and business plan periodically with staff to ensure buy-in and accountability
- To meet company standards of 52 hours training per year including management/leadership training.
- To manage and operate security systems.
- Be part of the District Business Review meeting to discuss security-related issues, concerns, and best practices.
- Coach employees and management on how to complete incident reporting per the Security incident Reporting Standard.
- To support Business Continuity Plan development and testing and full implementation of company’s Health and Safety Standards.
- To take lead on all district security incident investigation to coordinate with Regional and CHQ Security.
- To supervise a group of outsourced security personnel in daily security operations.
- To ensure 100% branch compliance with all Operational Process Standards and all local Security, Health & Safety regulations to coordinate with any branch/external compliance officers.
- To manage and deliver Security, Health & Safety training, resources, and tools.
- Be open and involved in implementing new system/process changes, enhancements, and improvements.
- Additional task as required to meet department needs.
The Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in any field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience with exposure to supervisory preferably in logistics or supply chain industry.
- Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year, including as needed management/leadership training
- Ability to drive standards, awareness, compliance and implementation of all security, health, and safety related matters
- Good Microsoft Office and Computer Skills.
- Strong organizational skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- Proven supervisory/leadership experience.
- Fluent in English
