We are partnering with The Solar House Sdn. Bhd. (TSH), a Malaysian company specializing in providing comprehensive solar photovoltaic (PV) services, including consultancy, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems.
The Senior Supply Chain Executive is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations of the organization. This role involves strategic planning, procurement management, logistics coordination, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with regulations to facilitate efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes within the solar energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and project requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable supply of solar components.
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Analyze supply chain processes to identify opportunities for cost-savings and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and project specifications.
- Manage logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing, to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement inventory management practices to prevent shortages or excess stocks.
- Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to enhance performance and responsiveness.
- Proficiency in ERP software for managing procurement, inventory, and logistics operations.
- Utilize data analysis tools to monitor supply chain performance and inform decision-making.
- Familiarity with supply chain automation technologies to streamline operations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to align supply chain activities with organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to junior supply chain staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are an advantage.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Experience in managing supply chain operations for solar energy projects, including procurement and logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with the procurement and logistics of solar PV components and systems.
- Experience in supporting large-scale projects through effective supply chain strategies.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier evaluation.
- Expertise in coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards affecting supply chain operations in the solar industry.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure materials and services meet required standards.
- Ability to analyze complex supply chain data and make informed decisions.
- Proactive in identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing project demands and market conditions.
