The Company

Our client is an American supply chain solutions leader who provides airfreight, ocean freight and contract logistics solutions for more than 120 locations globally. They support the aerospace, automotive, consumer retail, energy, hi-tech, industrial and many other industries.

The Senior Sales Support Executive will be responsible for

  • Identifying potential clients and generate leads through market research, cold calling, and networking efforts.
  • Check Tariff and/or coordinate with Local Pricing/Network Support teams to obtain relevant rates.
  • Submit quotations and follow up to Account Owners (new customers) or to Customers (existing) to secure the business.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding sea/air freight services, providing accurate information and offering solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Assist the Sales/Account Owners with customer enquiries, overseas rate requests, quotation preparations, RFP/RFQ/Tender request and other sales related administrative tasks.
  • Assist Sales Team in Sales Campaigns, telemarketing, e-marketing activities & trade lane developments.
  • Support in generating Sales Lead for Sales Team and Sales Lead Management
  • Conducting Market Analysis by staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline updates.
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as preparing reports and managing documentation.
  • Ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the head of department.

The requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration/Logistics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics
  • Proven experience in sales support or customer service roles, preferably within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong understanding of sea/air freight operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
