The Senior Manager, Operations is responsible for planning and managing the Facility Division in alignment with the company’s business objectives, ensure efficient operations for the maintenance and repair facilities, equipment, and grounds to minimize disruptions. Ability to identify issues, provide solutions, delegate tasks, and monitor progress to maintain schedules and budgets. Regular communication with various departments and stakeholders regarding projects, budget planning and project decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and review policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in alignment with the company requirements.
- Manage and oversee Building Services operations to ensure efficient functionality and high-quality customer service.
- Develop and monitor departmental goals, budgets and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure optimal staffing and resource allocation for daily operations and project execution.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of building facilities and equipment, as necessary.
- Manage vendor contracts for maintenance services and resolve construction-related issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards and address customer feedback and complaints.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and facilitate necessary inspections and license renewals.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with various departments to support safety training, event setup, and other operational tasks.
- Integrate safety and security measures into all facility operations, ensure a secure environment for employees and visitors.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of facility operations, including waste reduction and energy-efficient practices.
- Regularly assess and improve emergency preparedness and response plans to safeguard stakeholders during incidents.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Possess a Certificate in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Sustainability ESG Practitioner, ISO 50001 or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing facilities operations and engineering services at a managerial level, preferably within a hospital environment.
- Sound knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical. Plumbing systems and relevant statutory legislation and regulations e.g. OSHA, Factories and Machinery Act, Fire Service Act.
- Proficient in testing and commissioning methodologies and instruments; or availability of such resources/services.
- Experience in project management.
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
