Section Manager, Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent GPE from plant interactions with global engineering team.
• Coordinate with global testing engineering to manage local plant test engineering activities.
• Responsible for speaker business new project, process, technology and methodology introduction.
• Support engineering roadmap and industrial plan to commit plant business growth.
• Lead plant input to RFQ and business case study.
• Capex application, justification and spending accuracy.
• Project milestones follow up and periodically report to stakeholders.
• Manage local engineering team with competency training.
• Continuous improvement of quality and productivity.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electronical / Industrial / Acoustical.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in NPI and manufacturing engineering in related industry to oversee transfer projects with cross country team.
• Expertise on IATF16949 5 core tools application, including new product, new process, new jig & equipment introduction, Industrial engineering basic, takt time, cycle time calculation, line balancing design, short- and long-term capacity mapping, OEE and labor productivity calculation improvement.
• Preferred with managerial experience.
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools like 5Why, DOE, DMAIC, 8D.
• Able to use CAD to design jigs and fixtures.
• Ability to converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin speaking clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player, detail and hands-on.
• Able to travel overseas.
