The company

Our client is an international logistics and freight forwarding company that offer transportation solutions globally. The company provides a wide range of customized solutions of logistics services and supply chain solutions such as Transportation, Warehousing and Custom Clearance.

Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, the Sales Support will be based in Johor branch and Penang branch.

The role

  • Assist the Sales/Account Owners with customer enquiries, overseas rate requests, quotation preparations, RFP/RFQ/Tender request and other sales related administrative tasks.
  • Check Tariff and/or coordinate with Local Pricing/Network Support teams to obtain relevant rates.
  • Able to use software solutions such as Ticketing system or Tariff / Rate Tool.
  • Support Local Pricing team with detailed feedback from customers.
  • Submit quotations and follow up to Account Owners (new customers) or to Customers (existing) to secure the business.
  • Prepare Job Instruction Set for Operations such as gather documents from sales by completing Job Instruction Form and attach quotation and cost summary.
  • Maintain customer profiles, records, and reports as requested by the head of department.
  • Support customers and sales team in promoting company’s products or services.
  • Handle customers enquiries and resolve the issue and maintain customer relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Assist Sales Team in Sales Campaigns, telemarketing, e-marketing activities & trade lane developments.
  • Support in generating Sales Lead for Sales Team and Sales Lead Management.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to meet departmental and individual goals and exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
  • Prepare Productivity Report and Quotation Success Rate Report on weekly or monthly basis.
  • Have basic understanding on ISO management system.
  • Ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the head of department.

The requirements

  • Higher Secondary / STPM / “A” Level / Certificate / Diploma / Degree or higher field.
  • 3 years working experience in the related field.
  • Familiar with Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Proficient in both English and local language(s) – written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess customer service mindset and data analytical approach.
  • Local communication skills added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of local and international freight services and customs policies.
