Our client is a global leader in machine tools, laser technology, and industrial electronics. As a market and technology leader, they provide innovative solutions in machine tools and lasers, impacting nearly every sector.

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for preparation of import and export documents, compliance of customs procedures, ensuring on-time delivery, inventory management, ensuring security and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare necessary documents, identify correct HS code and provide information as required for import and export of all shipments.
  • Coordinate closely with forwarder on customs procedure to ensure smooth import and export shipment.
  • Manage and filing all import-export documents after customs clearance in a systematic and tidy manner.
  • Liaise with forwarder, transporter and customer for delivering equipment and parts.
  • Ensure proper security and accuracy of stock in warehouse, record stock-in and -out with adequate proof of delivery, minimize stock difference between physical and record.
  • Maintain required minimum stock level, place stock order upon sales and service team’s request.
  • Ensure the correct receipt of incoming goods and on time delivery to both service team and customers.
  • Carry out inventory and control stock ageing for goods return on timely basis.
  • Coordinate for handling defective and scrap items in accordance with company’s policy.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, Management or related field in Supply Chain.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the role of import and export executive for a multinational/foreign-invested company.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the whole procedure of the country’s customs clearance and post clearance.
  • Familiar with import export procedure for all types of enterprise including export processing enterprise.
  • Understand logistics pricing structure for working in the best cost-effective way.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent skills in task self-organization with high responsibility and accuracy.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Malay and Mandarin.
  • Good communication skills, problem-solving and teamwork.
