About this role:
The Inside Sales Representative will be a self-motivated and driven individual who will work closely with the distribution team to maintain and grow existing accounts, develop new business opportunities, and achieve monthly sales targets while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new and recurring sales by providing timely product and technical information to customers.
- Increase sales and average order value through cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and promotional offerings.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
- Present pricing, credit, and terms in accordance with the company’s standard procedures.
- Process customer transactions accurately.
- Provide accurate and timely information on the availability of in-stock items.
- Obtain accurate shipment schedules and expected delivery timelines from vendors.
- Advise customers on product terminology, features, and benefits to improve product sales and customer satisfaction.
- Fill request for catalogues, information or samples.
- Maintain accurate and complete information within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Follow up with customers after sales to ensure continued customer satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns promptly.
- Monitor and identify trends in customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
- Manage time effectively, achieve individual targets, and work closely with other members of the distribution team.
- Communicate unexpected increases or decreases in product demand to the purchasing department.
- Maintain proficiency in using computers, data entry systems, and standard office software and equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional image when interacting with customers and vendors.
- Support additional duties and projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, inside sales, or related fields.
- Experience in industrial distribution, shipping, and receiving.
- Proficient in CRM software and platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent phone presence.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making and creative thinking skills.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Relevant training in Inside Sales.
- Good command of English and Mandarin/Chinese.
