Our client is a global manufacturing company in the advanced electronics and semiconductor materials sector, expanding its footprints in Asia.
As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated to internal teams so that all products meet customer expectations and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure effective communication and support.
- Coordinate and resolve engineering and quality-related issues at customer sites when needed.
- Monitor stock at all locations and prevent any shipment of non-comforting products.
- Investigate product issues and determine the root cause of customer returns.
- Lead corrective action plans and track implementation through corrective action or 8D reports.
- Manage any rework of finished goods as required.
- Promote customer-preferred methods such as Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Measurement System Analysis.
- Support customer requests, including evaluation and review of sample submissions.
- Handle customer-related projects and provide updates during meetings.
- Participate in developing and reviewing DFMEA and PFMEA, ensuring customer perspectives are represented.
- Support regular customer report requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Customer Quality Engineer experience.
- Experience in PCB manufacturing, mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of 8D, problem-solving tools, FMEA, and SPC is preferred.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with different levels of organization.
