Our client is a global logistics company who focuses on airfreight, seafreight, customs brokerage, transportation, and distribution services. The company focuses on technology, service and people to provide end-to-end supply chain visibility.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible to:
- Develop, grow and expand company services to existing and new customers
- Proactively identify new customers with projects that fit our company business model
- To provide quotations and advice/consultancy to clients to deliver the best possible solutions to customers
- To represent the company at customers and conferences as appropriate
- To oversee the handling of, and stay informed of all key tasks, communication, and deadlines for all projects running for their key customer’s accounts
- Work with Operations and cross-functional groups, customers, and suppliers to define project requirements to ensure that the implementation of new strategies and initiatives will effectively meet or exceed these requirements and customer expectations.
- To ensure compliance with CRM usage
- To meet the target revenue set by the management.
- To meet sales KPI as mandated by management.
- Able to review contracts and negotiate with customers.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with customers and key decision-makers within the customer’s organization.
The ideal candidate:
- Must possess a Diploma in logistics-related discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree preferably in logistics-related discipline, business management, or economics & statistics.
- At least 5 years of proven track record in sales.
- Experience in Carrier, NVOCC, or Freight forwarding environment is ideal.
- Carrier contacts are an advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office/ Advance in Excel/PowerPoint will be needed.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
