Our client is a specialist in global container logistics with 40000 employees globally. The company focuses on freight forwarding, contract logistics and port logistics, managing complex supply chains and provides a wealth of innovative value-added services.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identify and secure potential customers, market verticals, and industry segments with strong growth potential.
  • Actively secure new customers per agreed annual targets.
  • Develop international trades lanes by working closely with the other company’s offices and overseas agents.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development in the Malaysian market.
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
  • Experience in managing sales visits/sales pipelines/sales reporting via CRM sales tool.
  • Manage sales visits, pipelines and reporting via CRM tools.
  • Deliver compelling presentation with excellent communication skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Diploma / Degree or equivalent.  
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Familiar knowledge in freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience in managing sales/pipelines/reporting via CRM tools.
  • Proficient in both English and local language – written and verbal.
  • Possess customer service mindset and data analytical approach.
  • Highly motivated to learn new processes, received feedback and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and team player.
